- For how long have you worked at Clarendon?
I started working at Clarendon at the beginning of 2025. - Please tell us about your professional background.
Before Clarendon, I worked at St Patrick’s College (SPC) for 19 years within the classroom as part of the Enhanced Learning Team, as the Head of Sport Assistant and the Director of Basketball. I completed my time at SPC as a Head of House in Boarding. - What does your role as Head of Sport entail?
It is my responsibility to ensure that all co-curricular activities are supported and running smoothly, including BAS Sport and Interschool event organisation. - Aside from your role, have you been involved in any activities with students (such as co-curricular activities) during your time?
I have been lucky enough to be involved with many co-curricular activities to help support staff. It has been wonderful to see so many students enjoy the opportunities that Clarendon’s extensive co-curricular program offers. From soccer to chess, there is something for everyone to participate in. - What is your favourite sport?
My favourite sport is basketball, but I also enjoy football, netball and rugby league. - Congratulations on your recent Ballarat Miners’ Award! Can you tell us more about your sport endeavours outside of school and for how long you’ve been involved?
Thank you. I am currently an Assistant Coach for the Ballarat Miners men and coach the Under 14 Girls third team. I started playing basketball at a young age and played for the Lady Miners until knee surgery forced me into coaching. I have coached basketball for almost 20 years across all age groups and within the boys’ and girls’ programs, in Ballarat and within the State programs. I am also working with the East Point Senior Men’s Football team, collecting statistics on game day matches. I have been a football statistician for five years and been involved in many different football programs across the years. - What do you enjoy most about working at Clarendon?
The people at Clarendon certainly make the school what it is. Staff, students and the Clarendon community are very supportive and welcoming, making it a wonderful and rewarding place to work.
