Ballarat Clarendon College’s aerobics teams have achieved remarkable success at the recent School Aerobics National Competition in Adelaide. From just seven students in 2023, the program has grown to 39 participants in 2024, showcasing the dedication and hard work of our students.
Two teams travelled to the competition and the Secondary Aerobics Stage 1 Classic team won the National Championships, competing against over 7,000 students from across Australia. This accomplishment is a significant milestone.
“The aerobics program at Ballarat Clarendon College has expanded significantly this year. Having our students represent the school at the national level will surely inspire more students to get involved,” said Head of Dance, Ms Morris.
Aerobics welcomes students of all experience levels, from experienced dancers to beginners. The program develops strength, stamina, coordination, musicality and teamwork, making it a valuable part of our Performing Arts curriculum.
Ms Morris reflected on the event, saying, “It was an exciting weekend at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Both teams performed with energy and precision, representing the school with pride and sportsmanship. Special congratulations to our senior team who won the National Championship.”
The success of our teams was supported by generous donations from Friends of Performing Arts. “I extend my heartfelt thanks for your support, which enabled the students to travel to nationals,” said Ms Morris.
