Terry joined the Clarendon community eight years ago as a member of the McLean Services team, which manages cleaning, plumbing and electrical services, properties, vehicles and event set up, as well as maintaining the school grounds across all campuses. As a Campus Supervisor, Terry oversees maintenance operations at the Junior School to ensure our learning environment and outdoor play spaces are safe, clean and fun places to be.
Terry’s day-to-day at the Junior School largely involves maintaining gardens and lawns, as well as setting up for events such as House carnivals, parent visits and activities like the recent Easter Hat Parade. No two days are the same.
“It’s a great atmosphere at the Junior School,” said Terry. “When I first started working here, I couldn’t believe how grateful everyone was for all the little things you do. Here, you might do something small and yet people are really thankful.”
Outside of work, Terry enjoys going to the gym. Between group training five times a week, swimming and working outdoors each day, he strives to stay active in everything that he does.
Terry takes great pride in his work and especially values the everyday interactions he has with students, staff and families.
“It’s amazing how many students come and say thank you,” said Terry. “They are so polite, kind to each other and accepting of everyone. They go out of their way to say hello every morning.”
Thank you to Terry and the McLean Services team for everything they do to support our students, staff and the Clarendon community to thrive and enjoy school life.
