Clarendon students selected for the Class of 2024 Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program

Congratulations to Y10 students Imogen Clarke and Ryan Siu, who were recently selected to participate in the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program.

The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program, hosted by The University of Melbourne, sees scholars become part of a supportive university community and peer network through a tailored program of events and activities. Of 1,300 applicants, Imogen and Ryan were selected to work with the university to reach their leadership potential and personal goals.

“I was delighted when I received the news of becoming a Kwong Lee Dow Scholar,” said Imogen. “I feel very lucky that I will have additional support from The University of Melbourne to reach my VCE goals and, in particular, through the university where I plan to study a Bachelor of Design.”

“Being a recipient of the Kwong Lee Dow Young scholars will open more opportunities for me following my time at Clarendon,” said Ryan. “Being a scholar will assist me in my journey to unlock my dream careers while expanding my social network and developing connections with other like-minded students across Victoria.”

Imogen and Ryan encourage all students to consider the program in the future.

“Being involved in the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program has been a goal of mine for quite a while,” said Imogen. “I feel honoured to have been selected and encourage every future Y10 student to pursue this opportunity as they enter the Senior School at Clarendon.”

Well done to Imogen and Ryan, who have been recognised for their passion and determination to achieve their heart’s desires. We look forward to following you on your journey through the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program.
