What Our Students Do

The Ballarat Clarendon College sport program aims to achieve excellence in outcomes that relate to a student’s capacity to achieve their personal best. From the beginner to the elite performer, excellence is the foundation for all participation.

The BCC sport program inspires students, through their involvement in organised sport, to discover exceptional qualities in themselves, in others and in the values of fair play and good sporting behaviour. In inspiring students, the sport program encourages a process of self-awareness, led by exceptional coaching and mentorship that will extend an individual’s capacity to achieve in ways they did not think possible.

We value quality involvement and continually strive for exceptional participation. The BCC learning environment for sport is one that reduces the emphasis on winning and losing and focuses on quality participation, where the search for excellence underpins all that we do.

Our students participate in the Ballarat Associated Schools and Ballarat Primary Schools Sports Association competitions in a range of sports, including rowing, football, cricket, tennis, netball, basketball and hockey.  They also have the opportunity to choose more recreational options in a non-competitive environment.  We place a high value on physical fitness and activity and run indoor cycling, circuits and swimming classes for students to access at lunchtimes and after school.
