Clarendon Alumni at National Association of Australian University Colleges

A few weeks ago from July 6-13 the National Association of Australian University Colleges (NAAUC) held their annual conference (this year in Melbourne) whereby uni students living on campus all around Australia come together to learn about and enhance residential living student leadership. There were nine former BCC students in attendance at the conference, all representing different colleges across Victoria and coming from BCC year levels from 2009 all the way to 2013. Interestingly, of those nine former students, three of us; myself (’09), Evie Loveband (’11) and Emma Leith (’12) were all on the NAAUC leadership team who organised and ran the conference this year. Following on from this, on the final day, both Evie and myself were elected into the positions of Secretary and President of the National Association for 2015.

I think it just goes to show that BCC really does develop and sculpt future leaders and it’s pretty incredible to have three people from the one school (all different year levels) on the leadership team of a National Association!!!
