The Phillips family from Tatyoon have had a long association with boarding at Ballarat Clarendon College. Geoff boarded College from Year 7 in 1978 until Year 12 in 1983. Siblings, Allan and Heather, also boarded as did their parents Allan M Phillips (Peer Year 1949) and Joyce (Peer Year 1955). Geoff’s father-in-law, Neville Fraser, attended College until 19. Geoff concluded from his six years as a boarder, “Boarding allows for a high degree of personal development as you live in close quarters with other students, learning to get along with others and develop close friendships. Living at school provides access to more sporting and cultural opportunities.”
