Ballarat Clarendon College is an open-entry school and enjoys a strong demand for places by local, national and overseas applicants. Parents and guardians are advised to make enquiries and applications at an early date, as there are waiting lists at a number of levels.
The levels of particular demand are the intake years, 3YO and 4YO Early Learning, Years 5, 7, 9 and our boarding houses.
Children entering the three-year-old program must be three years of age by 31 January in the year of commencement. Children entering the four-year-old program should be four years of age by 30 April in the year of commencement. This is consistent with the legislated requirement for children to be at least 5 years of age by 30 April in the year they first attend Prep. However, we encourage students to be older for the school year to give them the very best start, not only in Early Learning but throughout their school lives. We encourage parents with children turning three in January, or four between January and April to consider delaying entry into kindergarten. As part of the enrolment process for the three-year-old and four-year-old programs, parents and children will be required to attend an enrolment meeting prior to the place being confirmed.
The Head of Admissions maintains close contact with those who are on our waiting lists, as well as those who have registered.
There are a small number of international students from a range of countries in the boarding houses. The College is happy to work with agents but does not pay commission.
