Rural Visits

Provision of boarding places has been part of the structure of Ballarat Clarendon College for most of its history. This is a valued education option for families with special needs, for reasons such as location remoteness, weather or lifestyle. Connecting with these families, so as to better relate to them and understand their situations, is seen as a high priority.

Therefore twice a year boarding staff, members of the Senior Leadership team and of the Registrar’s office visit most rural communities within Clarendon’s feeder areas. This takes a variety of formats, including field days, expos, dinners, small gatherings and, in special cases, family visits.
